Althought I have a small face and small pupil to pupil eye ratio, like others I found the eye mask lacking in size. I have found it too heavy on my eyes and because this can be an issue re corneal distortion, to have it reasonably comfortable, I have to hook a finger in each side where the gap is from the cover. This of course means I can't fully relax like that. I was told it was a mixture of carbon and flaxseed on the inside, so I would have thought it would be similar to the Optase hydrobead style which is very comfortable but as most people know, these types go cold quickly.
So that is the negative. Let's move on to the positive. I love the graduated variation of heat settings. Most similar USB and rechargeable heat masks only have 3 settings. By having 10 settings one can have it on what is the most comfortable at any given time. The mask is very comforting on the eyes particularly afterwards, but like I said and others have, it is a little bit too hard and heavy on the sockets and I would like to see a version that cover the eyes completely like others; this of course unfortunately would make it even more expensive.
So to conclude: Am I glad I bought it? There are more positives than negatives so the answer would be yes. Like others I do think it is over priced as I think one is paying more for the graduated heat settings than anything else. A price of around £50 would have been more realistic. Would I buy it again? Only if there was a larger version that doesn't sink into my eye sockets and it was a reasonable price. I know I can return it as it is well within the warranty; however, the graduated heat settings and well being means I will be keeping it.
